Riley and I were pleased to welcome back Congressman Pete Sessions of Texas to the show this week. He also serves as part of the leadership team in the House as Rules Committee Chairman.

The Congressman struck up a friendship with the show while he was Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee and in the midst of helping to engineer the big GOP wave election of 2010. A part of that effort was in Illinois’ 17th Congressional District, where Bobby Schilling would go on to victory. We checked in on the status of the race from time-to-time and just haven’t stopped talking since.

This time Sessions joined us to discuss Republican House Priorities in 2015, including tax reform, the Keystone Pipeline, and border security. We also discussed the delay in a vote on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Sessions seemed frustrated with the circumstances surrounding the postponement but told us he does believe the bill will come back for a vote later this year.
