There are only so many days in the holiday season, but luckily for us, there are tons of great events crammed into those days--like this weekend's Rockton Christmas Walk.

When an event has been going strong and growing for well over 30 years, you know that the festival organizers are doing things right.

Area businesses partner with the Village of Rockton and Stateline Chamber of Commerce to offer unique and exclusive events, shopping experiences, and holiday festivities.

The Rockton Christmas Walk takes place today, Friday, from 3pm-2am, Saturday from 7am-7pm, and Sunday from 1pm-4pm.

Some highlights include:

The Pub Crawl, tonight beginning at 7pm:

The easiest pub crawl you’ll ever participate in. Six establishments all within two blocks of each other – Rockton Inn Pub Grub & BBQ, Rookie’s Pub and Grill, Pokie’s Slots -N- Video Poker, Ye Olde Pub, American Legion and Fibs. No cost to participate except wearing your MOST FLAMBOYANT, UGLIEST, JAW-DROPPING (get the hint?) holiday garb.

The Lighting of the Park, Saturday at 5pm:

With all the spirit of a small community we join in song & cheer to light up Katie’s Tree & Village Green Park. Grade school and high school choirs will sing holiday songs while visitors enjoy s’mores around a toasty campfire. We close out the evening with a visit from Santa.

The Lighted Parade, Saturday at 6pm:

The famous Lighting Christmas Parade always delights with some great Christmas Themed floats coasting down Main Street in Rockton.
