Happy Father’s Day to All the Dads!

Father's Day is this Sunday. My dad has been gone for almost 6 years now, and I miss him every day. I'm sure many of you feel the same way about yours.

My dad was my hero, my role model, my teacher, my protector, my sounding board, and my biggest fan. He was many other things to me as well, all of them good.

Being a dad myself, my goal has always been to be at least half as good at being a father as my dad was. I think I'm doing okay, but we'll just have to wait for my kids to write books later on in life for the final judgement.
