You may not have known about it, but Guinness World Records Day was last Thursday. Did you head out to set and/or break any records? Yeah...me either. That's okay, the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters were aware, and they went all out, setting 7 new world records!

  • Farthest kneeling basketball shot made backwards set at 18.47 meters (60 feet 7.5 inches) by Handles Franklin.
  • Longest basketball shot made blindfolded achieved by Thunder Law at a distance of 21.18 meters (69 feet 6 inches).
  • Longest underhand basketball shot by Hammer Harrison at 25.81 meters (84 feet 8.5 inches).
  • Longest duration spinning a basketball on the nose at 7.7 seconds by Scooter Christensen, beating his own previous record.
  • Most basketball slam dunks in one minute set by Zeus McClurkin with 15 dunks.
  • Furthest blindfolded basketball hook shot at 15.32 meters (50 feet 3.5 inches) by Big Easy Lofton.
  • Most three-pointers scored in one minute by a pair achieved by Ant Atkinson and Cheese Chisholm for a record of 19.

I'm sure that after all that, being dead-tired from setting all those records, they probably only beat the Washington Generals by 60 points.
