Give the Gift of Life

Here in Illinois, it's called Donate Life Illinois. Just click the link to register yourself as an organ and tissue donor, and you'll join the thousands of Illinois citizens who have made an immense impact on so many lives. I've lost a couple of friends over the years who earlier made the decision to sign up for the registry. Between the two of them, nearly 40 people had their lives saved or improved greatly as beneficiaries of those donations.

I could quote some statistics and numbers for you here as a way to encourage you to sign up, but I think the video below gets to the point much better than I can. The video was created in Argentina as a way to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation in that country, but, not at all surprisingly, it's reaching a global audience:
