Two girls from the NUIC stole the show with personal bests and winning state Saturday at Eastern. The seniors Emily Offenheiser of Stockton, won her first state title taking first in the discus 151'8. But she also had a solid second in the shot put (44'10.25). Both were all-time records for all time in the NUIC.

Carmen DeVries of Lena-Winslow capped off her prep with a career with three State medals. She was the 400 champion with her personal best (57'04). Was third in the triple jump (37'04.25) and fourth in the long jump 17'9.

Milledgeville senior Rebecca Waite won medals in all four events. But did not get a state title. She was third in the 200, fifth in the 100. Sixth in the 40p and joined Sage Walrath, Olivia Sturrup, and Erhah Adams for seventh in the 400-meter relay. The 800 relay was seventh with Lydia Coatney, Alicia Woodard, Walrath, and Sturrup.

Other state medals were won by Winnebago with eighth places from Grace Baldwin in the pole vault and Natalie Martino in the 3200 meters.

At the 2A State Galena/River Ridge/East Dubuque. Paige Christopher was fourth setting all-time NUIC record at 18'03.25. And she was fifth in the high hurdles in 14.77. Breya Christopher was sixth in the high jump.

Amboy was eighth in the 1600 meter relay.

3A. The NIC-10 had only two state places both from Belvidere North.

Katie Oteng-Bediako was seventh in the triple jump. The 3200-meter relay was fifth in 9:18.42. Sabrina and Sydnie. Elder, Kayla McGuire and Madison Diercks.
