Mark your calendar for a brand new downtown Rockford festival, happening September 22nd.

Fall For Rockford was recently announced as a great way to welcome in a new season, as it not-so-coincidentally falls on the first day of Fall.

From the Rockford River District website:

Rediscover Rockford’s best tastes, sights and sounds as you walk through downtown’s historic River District. With more than a dozen restaurants selling their signature menu items and free entertainment on one stage, we encourage you to reimagine Rockford. We invite you to fall in love with the city at northern Illinois’ premier outdoor food and music festival.
There is no entry fee. The River District Association simply wishes to provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to experience all that downtown has to offer in the fall, and in the same token, build community pride by giving everyone a Taste of Rockford: its food, music and culture.

With Rockford City Market, Stroll on State, Shop the Blocks, and now Fall For Rockford, does anyone still think that there's nothing to do in Rockford?
