Miguel Montero was unceremoniously traded by the Cubs this July. Is there still some bad blood between him and the team?

To refresh your memory, Montero lashed out against his pitchers after a July loss, blaming them for allowing stolen bases when he was catching. Was there some truth to it? Probably, but it's not something you air out to reporters.

Shortly after his comments Montero was designated for assignment and traded to Toronto shortly after. It was a bit of a weird time. Montero was a fan favorite up until then. He coined the phrase "We are good" that the team ran with last season. Montero also became a cult hero with his grand slam against the Dodgers in last year's NLCS.

That was a good memory.

I think Montero's tweet was a little tongue and cheek but I also think that cooler heads have prevailed and there's no longer animosity between Montero and the Cubs.

Montero seems like a good dude and would love to see him get a second ring.

Now we just need a win tonight to keep that dream alive.
