Last week it was reported Aldi had sold ground beef involved in a mandatory nationwide. Now, additional stores in Rockford and Machesney Park have been added to the recall.

A massive recall of ground beef sold in tube-like packaging back in late June and early July happened after more than 17 people have reportedly suffered from E. coli. And this week USDA is adding more alerts for locations that may have sold contaminated 3, 10, and 20-pound ground beef packages.

The extended recall now includes packaging labels like this...

... and now Target stores are included in the list of stores that may have sold this meat. Rockford and Machesney Park stores are included.

In a note memo from USDA,

This list may not include all retail locations that have received the recalled product or may include retail locations that did not actually receive the recalled product.
