Do You Remember What Used To Be In This Loves Park Building?

There are some serious bragging rights on the line here. 

I'll open this blog with the fact that I'm pretty sure I'm wrong but I'm not going down without a fight.

This building is located at the corner of Loves Park and Jensen Drive in Loves Park. It's just off of N. 2nd where House of Bottles has been for what seems like a century.

My dad was trying to tell me that this was the location of the old Loves Park Library. I told him he was wrong. That's where the old Loves Park Post Office was. I was pretty confident I was right. I was willing to concede that at one point there MAY have been a library there but it was definitely the location of the old post office.

Neither of us has the best memory so we went to the next best source, my mom. After that, we went to an even better source, my grandma.

Much to my chagrin, they both confirmed with my dad that it was the location of the old library.

If it had just been my mom going against me I would still have some hope. My grandma on the other hand? She's been in town for over 80 years and is still sharp as a tack. I don't like my chances here but this is my Hail Mary.

I have vivid memories of buying stamps there when I was a kid. Was that just a figment of my imagination?

So I turn to you lifetime residents of the area. Who's right? Me or my family?
