ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — Winnebago County authorities say a woman has died after being struck by a vehicle fleeing from police last week.

A Winnebago County coroner says 42-year-old Karen Williams of Rockford died Wednesday after being hospitalized in critical condition for a week. The coroner's office plans to conduct an autopsy.

Authorities say the high-speed chase on Aug. 20 followed an armed robbery at a Belvidere cellphone store. Boone County authorities perused three suspects into Winnebago County, where they crashed into Williams' vehicle.

Two 19-year-old suspects and one 20-year-old suspect were arrested in connection to armed robbery and are being held at the Boone County Jail. It's unclear if they've been charged.
