This weekend, severe weather rocked most of Northern Illinois. In Chicago, the CTA had it's fair share of problems.

Saturday night was one of the scariest commutes I have ever driven.

The rain was so heavy and the storms were so intense, I could barely see what was happening on the roads. It took me almost three hours to get home through torrential rain. You know it's bad when every single driver on the expressway pulls over to the side of the road.

Chicago also got rocked with storms this weekend. It was so bad last night that this happened:

Unbelievable is right!

According to WGN, CTA states that the platform didn't collapse, but was damaged. There was a lightning strike at an overpass at 430 S. Damen Ave. around 7 p.m. which is likely what caused the damage.

Thankfully no one was injured!

What was the craziest thing you saw this weekend?
