Riley & I had the pleasure of welcoming former 17th District Congressman (and current candidate for that seat) Bobby Schilling to our studios.

Schilling represented the 17th District from 2011-2013 and now will rematch against the incumbent Democrat Rep. Cheri Bustos in November. Why is he running again? He told us that while he had a good job post-Congress and was home far more often than when he served in Washington, it was an easy decision to make once he looked at all the stuff happening in Illinois and in D.C.

We also asked Schilling about the ever-changing Obamacare law and how it might be impacting hiring across the nation:
One of the biggest things that this administration has done is creating so much uncertainty across the United States of America...Barack Obama promised us if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor, if you like your health care plan you can keep your health care, your premiums are going to drop $2,500 per family. All those were untrue. And I think people are scared right now because they don't know what they can expect or what's going to happen.
Here's the full audio of our interview, in which we also discussed the most-recent jobs report, the outflow of Illinois residents to Iowa, and the increase in regulations coming out of Washington:
