Bobby Schilling served one term in the House as Illinois’ congressman from the 17th district. He’d like to return to Washington, but first he must win a rematch with the current Congresswoman, Cheri Bustos.

Since his time in D.C., the district has been redrawn by Illinois Democrats to make it even more favorable to Rep. Bustos. That included absorbing some areas of Rockford that previously were in the 16th District.

Schilling walked the Rockford part of the district door-to-door the past two weekends and says voters gave him a very favorable response.
