Bobby Schilling served one term in the House as Illinois' congressman from the 17th district. He'd like to return to Washington, but first he must win a Rocky II-type rematch with the current Congresswoman, Cheri Bustos.

Much has been made in the past week or so about a promise that Bustos made in front of the Chicago Tribune editorial board that she has yet to make good on. As WQAD explains:

The promise he’s claiming Bustos made happened during a 2012 interview with the Chicago Tribune, when he says then candidate Bustos was talking about her plan to congressional pay by 10% through a vote. When asked if she would cut her pay regardless of how a vote turns out, she said “Yes,” but has failed to do so, according to Schilling.
