Bloom Elementary School Closed Due To Water Leak

District 205 officials say students at Bloom Elementary School are being dismissed for the day because of a substantial water leak at the building.

If possible, parents are encouraged to pick up their children from school. According to a press release, regular bus riders will be transported home this morning if a parent or other adult supervision is available.

Teachers will be accompanying students on the buses to assist and check if an adult is home. Officials say if they're unable to reach a parent or guardian, a student will remain at the school until contact is made.

This afternoon, District 205 announced school at Bloom is canceled for Wednesday as well.
