If you like Tupperware parties but just didn't feel like they were dangerous enough these parties might be just for you.

The name of the company is Bad Axe Throwing is unsurprisingly a Canadian company that specializes in indoor axe-throwing parties. They are opening their first U.S. location in the West Loop next month. The new store will be at 165 N. Loomis St. near Bottom Lounge and will open early next month.

Not sure what axe throwing is? You're probably thinking too hard. It's like darts but instead of you know, a dart, you throw an axe at a target. To date, no one has been injured at a Bad Axe Lounge, but then again Americans haven't gotten a hold of it until next month. Things could change in a hurry.

A throwing session costs about 40 dollars and you are coached and supervised by an instructor. You can expect to spend about 3 hours per visit. They cater towards large groups and parties but all are welcome.

You can bring in your own beer or wine but throwers are actively monitored to make sure no one is too intoxicated.

If people want to have a few drinks that's fine, but we want to keep the environment safe. They can loosen up  and have a good time, but we don't have anyone taking it too far.

Honestly this sounds like a blast and might just replace Whirlyball as the first stop in Chicagoland bachelor parties.
