Four sophomores from the 2016-2017 Rock Valley College men's basketball team have signed commitments to play next season.

The college issued a press release highlighting the players moving on:

  • Jace Kitchen, DeKalb, will play for St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
  • Dalton Menke, Winnebago, will go to University Wisconsin-Whitewater.
  • Andrew Squires, Pecatonica, will play for Rockford University.
  • Alec Pena, Rockton, will play for Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa.

Ronald Keller of Winnebago, a student assistant at RVC, also will go to Graceland to serve in the same role under former RVC coach Craig Doty.

Rock Valley went 23-9 this past season. Pena led RVC in scoring with 16.3 per game while adding 6.9 rebounds. Kitchen averaged 14.1 points per game and 4.2 rebounds. Menke averaged 11.3 points and 4.8 rebounds.Squires averaged 3.4 points in 8.2 minutes.
