Seeing this video reminded me of a 1980s-era public service announcement. You might remember the one where the dad catches his son with some marijuana and asks him where he learned "how to do this stuff." The kid shouts back, "I learned from you!!"

Following that line of logic, I guess kids fighting over pretty much any object can now shout "I learned it from you!!" after watching how these adults behave when New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist, celebrating a shutout against Carolina, tossed his stick into the crowd after the game.

The guy in the tie had the stick. You can tell because he has it in front of him, and is holding it with both hands. Thanks to the folks around him, some intent on strangling the man, security has to take the stick back to the locker room.

Sadly, this has happened before, and will probably occur again. Here's what happened a few years ago when Scott Niedermayer of the Anaheim Ducks passes his stick to a little girl in the crowd:
